🌱 You’re Allowed to Begin Again

Because healing isn’t linear, progress isn’t loud, and your restart doesn’t need applause.

By Firdos JamalPublished 7 months ago • 1 min read

You're allowed to step out of the storm
without apologizing for how long you stayed.
You're allowed to gather what’s left of you
and call it a beginning.
No one else needs to understand —
this is not their rebirth.

You're allowed to wake up today
and want more than survival.
To crave softness,
to want laughter back.
To ask the sun to come find you
after all this gray.

You’re allowed to leave stories unfinished,
walk away from rooms that shrink you,
burn bridges that led you to burn out.

You’re allowed to change your mind
without explanation.
To say:
"I was wrong"
and still be worthy.

You're allowed to bloom
without permission.
Even if no one sees it.
Even if you’re still learning how.

You're allowed to forgive yourself
for the time it took to learn.
For the breaks.
For the doubt.
For all the quiet defeats.

You’re allowed to begin again.
And again.
And again.

Not because you failed —
but because you’ve grown.

Not perfect. Not polished. Just honest writing for those who feel deeply, think quietly, and crave more than small talk.
