You’re a darling of mine

You’re a darling of mine

By Mathilda PercyPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

you’re a darling of mine

You know that my dear

I love of you what I should

hate

I think if I were ignorant of how love grips one’s bones with an invisible touch

I would believe myself indifferent

I love to hate your bitter judgment

For the things you don’t care to understand

I love the way you didn’t break my heart

For choosing everyone but me

I love the way you once drowned me

In your gently innocent smile

I love way you still glean my soul

For things I can’t not give you

I love that you believe me

When I say I don’t want to lose you

You are sacred

You are precious

You are divine revelry wrapped in human imperfection

But most of all I will love you my dear for as long as I am able

For know this my dear

You are a darling of mine
