Walking away

Even though I'm dead on my feet

Walking away even though I've got swollen knees

Pretending I don't know you

Even though I talk to you in my sleep

Pretending I don't know you

Even though I'm crying over you in my dreams

Silence lasts another day

Still someone is always watching me

Silence lasts another day

I know just how hard it is to talk to me

A lot to say,

but my mind is the one to confront me

You'll be okay

Don't put yourself in the middle of a war for me

I'll love you always

Even though my love is in places you can't see

You have an incredible ability to express the internal conflicts of a person who has experienced an emotional war. The image of "walking away" while the feet are "dead" perfectly captures this exhaustion. Your writing takes us deep within ourselves, where the true strength lies to confront the challenges.☀️

Wow! good repetition of words and technique for revealing feelings step by step.
