You Held the Sky for Me
(A Cultivation Love Poem – Across Heaven and Lifetimes)

Heaven birthed a maiden fair,
In silence she cultivated, midst mountains and air.
Her robe fluttered with the weary wind,
A soul ablaze—no path to rescind.
Clouds veiled her drifting trace,
One fated glance—my heart misplaced.
Eyes like dawn, a fleeting beam,
Carved her name deep into my dream.
To walk the Dao, I feared no flame,
Only the ache when I whispered her name.
A thousand years, I sat in peace,
Yet one thought of her—my heart would cease.
I tempered my soul through endless night,
Immortality paled before love’s light.
Once, she turned and softly said:
“When skies collapse, I’ll guard your stead.”
She was snow in endless spring,
Pure and cold, an untouched thing.
Hair like ink down silken threads,
Even Taoist hearts bowed their heads.
I fought the heavens, not for pride,
But for the girl I kept inside.
Beneath the moon, by starlit stream,
My heart sang softly in silent dream:
To love without a single word,
Through lifetimes passed, unseen, unheard.
The wind that whispers through the pine,
Still speaks her name—a vow divine.
Let the heavens fall, let fate be torn,
I’ll hold her shadow through every storm.
I ask not for a golden throne,
Just one breath near her, and I’m home.
Should the stars write us anew,
I’ll give my life—so hers shines true.
She held the sky… I held her hand,
Even in ruin, I’ll always stand.
“A thousand lifetimes in the Dao... could not weigh one heartbeat of love.”
