you gave me flowers

give me back my freedom

P l e a s e

Something that terrifies me

Please is n o t a bad word

A word parents worldwide encourage

It’s just please

Try to understand it is not just anything

Please has so many connotations

As a descriptor

It’s main use is for polite inquisition

or for added urgency to requests

It can even express irritation

As a verb

It’s to create satisfaction,

to cause pride or joy,

to gratify,

or a wish to do

A wish never feels right

when its been ripped out of your throat

With a broken promise of liberation

It’s like a fish gutted for its hunger

Fisherman standing over it with hook and worm

w h i s p e r i n g

thank you for wanting this

But the fish only wanted food

It was just survival instincts

It wasn’t a need

It wasn’t satisfying

Why did you ask for it

W H Y

did you make me bleed out in pleases

w h y

didn’t you just let me b e

w h y

couldn’t you set me f r e e

//survival through dying//

sad poetry
