You Can't Hide Your Lyin' Eyes
A Public Announcement
Attention! Attention! Pay close attention!
Silence your dissention
Dispel needless tension
Conform with convention
There's no need to mention
What's happening before your very eyes.

Protests cause tension
Interfere with prevention
Prohibit retention
Will lead to suspension
Before apprehension
Don't trust your lying eyes.
~
It's beyond your comprehension
Not up to you to question
Their arrest and detention
Don't stir up contention
It's your mind's invention
Nothing's happening, just sun in your eyes.
~
You can't know our intention
Can't grasp every dimension
Won't stop our ascension
Can't calm down the intension
Won't hinder the distension
Of the facts by believing your eyes.
~
Attempts at intervention
Claims of exemption
Pleas for redemption
No. There's no circumvention
Mustn't cling to your perception
You don't see what you've seen with your eyes.
