Like a ray of sunshine

through cloudy sky

Like the smell of soil

immediately after rain

Like spring to plants

after the harsh winter

Like movement to a paralyzed

after a fatal accident

Like fuel to an automobile

after being in reserve

Like a shooting star

to someone who lost faith

You came into my life

made me realize the value of sunshine

made me fall in love with rain again

made me go through winter chills

made me whole after almost dying

made me cruise the path of life

made me believe in the world

I don't know what I did

to deserve you in my life

to see the colors of life

to efface the darkness of the past

to brighten the future night sky

to have received someone to love more than life itself

I am proud to be called yours and to call you mine

The terror subsides

of the horrific nightmare or the frightful reality

that it is all a dream
