You are so Much More

I am my mind,

I have just seen you.

Dopamine, norepinephrine swirl like a cocktail and drown me.

You are so much more,

Are you sipping the same intoxicating drink?

No, not yet at least, you haven’t seen me

But I’ve seen you,

A thing that can never be undue, or redone.

I had hoped for this moment,

Earlier I drove and sang love songs with the windows down for all to hear,

Driving, to here, to now, to you.

Now I stand nervous and excited watching you turn your face. You are looking, for what and not a who I pray!

I’m to drunk, to euphoric, to attracted,

Could I speak or only slur?

Your sigh is a love song.

Could I walk or would I stumble?

You stand now, God her self.

Could I say something to make you be closer to me?

You walk past me and away, a muse for the beauty of the world.

Please God turn back to me! Let me drink this cocktail a moment longer.

You briefly turn back, eyes like pools, lips warm as this wind, smile gentle as a first touch.

My mind is made up.

I walk towards you, “excuse me miss?”

We talk for a few moments, a few hours, a few days.

A hand hold, a kiss, an embrace, a wall that you are up against as our kisses spell passion for any passerby.

We don’t care we are drunk.

We are guzzling the Dopamine and norepinephrine

I am my mind,

I have just seen you for the millionth time,

Even after all this time you are still so much more...
