I like to make pretty

Are you sure about that?

And by pretty, I often mean chaotic

Now we're getting to the truth

Unapologetically difficult

Couldn't agree more

Syntax runs amok

Check, check, check

Because I allow, nay, force it

Like a dick-tater

Edisni words turn out

Just to be clever?

Drill into my outside dnim

That sounds a bit strange

*

Then emahs comes along to stop play

But it doesn't have to win

I'm drawn to the edis rehto

But you don't have to lose

Then I want to write darkness

There's nothing wrong with darkness

Deep cavernous, explorative surgery

That can be good for the soul

On my own heart, as it still beats

I still don't see a problem

Drill bur holes in my brain

Bit extreme, maybe, I'll admit

As it still thinks, contemplates, reasons and imagines

This all sounds normal to me

*

That's the problem

What's the problem?

You are me

I see

*

I spend so much time running from you

I noticed that

When I should turn to you

What have I been trying to tell you?

All these years

All those times you shut me out

I thought I was gaining freedom, blocking you out

When really you were imprisoning yourself away from me

The only one who truly understands me

You are me, we are you

*

Thanks for reading!

Love this internal dialogue. I'll admit, at first I was confused with the reverse words, but then ahhh, think in Paul mode.

Making us work for our supper here Paul! I’m so slow some days haha u must know this by now lol..I was thinking at first what are THESE words I’ve never heard, then yeah anyway! 😅 But the reverse is cool as then it’s about these two sides to a person so I loved that this ended up having a thematic point as opposed to solely being chaotic. Anyhow this is cool unique fun and you in a nutshell!

This is so cool!! Phenomenal word play with this and I loved the reverse words. This was so clever. It really sounded like two sides of the same coin. Super entry!

  • Hahahahahhahaha loved your Paulitical take! I also loved dicktater and all those reversed words!

  • Oh! What a perspective! Lol!

Try to be a bit kinder when you talk to yourself, Husband.
