So, you brush your teeth. You go to work.

You pay rent. You reply to your WhatsApp messages, Texts, and…etc

You smile at the neighbor. You show up for your friend’s birthday party at night.

You do everything.

Except for this one thing:

Love yourself.

The Silent Loan We Never Repaid

We carry wounds like secret EMIs.

A little childhood hurt here.

A teenage heartbreak there.

A dream deferred, a voice silenced, a version of you that never got to exist.

And what did we do?

We buried them under productivity.

We bought gadgets. We earned promotions.

We treated symptoms. Not the source.

We became everyone else’s emergency contact—

but didn’t save ourselves in our own phonebook.

What Is Self-Love, Really?

It’s not spa days or shopping binges (though those are fun).

It’s saying “no” without guilt.

It’s eating a warm meal before replying to that urgent email.

It’s deleting the number that makes your soul itch.

It’s forgiving yourself—daily.

We Owe Ourselves an Apology

For the times we settled.

For the nights we silenced our truth.

For comparing ourselves to filtered versions of strangers.

For measuring our worth in likes, resumes, and unread messages.

We owe ourselves presence.

We owe ourselves peace.

We owe ourselves… us.

The Wake-Up Call

Self-love isn’t a trend.

It’s survival.

Because here’s the truth no one likes to say out loud:

If you don’t choose yourself,

No one else will do it for you.
