You and I (Translated)

Personal translation of the Florent Pagny's song

By Francis LPublished 4 years ago 1 min read
"Toi et Moi", song sang by Florent Pagny (French)

You and I

We progressed* together

To what resembles us

Love fulfilling our arms

It's wholly, you and I

We did some miracles

Overcame obstacles

We have just appeared there

God wants us, you and I

For the rest of our time

To observe this moment

Together, like in fight

Which leaves us by reaching

The most stunning present

Then wholly, you and I

We softly puzzled out hands

We have cleared roads and paths

Luck amidst our fingers

Tomorrow, you and I

We'll be terribly us

They'll address me as "you"

When they'll speak about me

Holy wants you and me

For the rest of our time

To observe this moment

Together, like in fight

Which leaves us by stepping

Remarkable present

It's wholly, you and I

He wants us, you and I

For the rest of our time

To observe this moment

Together, like in fight

Which leaves us by passing

One outstanding present

That's merely, you and I

You and me

Born in 1961, along Saône river

Florent Pagny is a smiling and discrete man

With marvelous moves, who first was a singer

Learned to act on stage and chose to follow his plan :

To make pop music.

After acting for movies, his first songs were produced

But soon press controversies appeared and reduced

His talent for a few years.

You'll find under one of his best titles diffused

After he came back from this days he was confused.

Now, he helps a large public

To get new singers.
