If comfort were a person, it would be you

If comfort had a smile, it would be yours

If comfort had eyes, they would glimmer like yours

If comfort had a name, it would be called by yours

Beside you, I can close my eyes and feel safe

In your arms, I can surrender my anxieties

With you, I can laugh and not be afraid

In your words, I can hear your love for me

Your hugs feel like a blanket of peace

And your voice soothes me like a song

Your hands in mine put me at ease

And your presence keeps me strong

I love our inside jokes

And our nicknames

And our dreams and hopes

For our future

However long

But forever is the goal

Because with you, I know who I am

In your joy, I find mine

Without you, it's cold and bland

In your love, I have life

Comfort is a person

And you are mine

It is in all that you are

Your name, your eyes, your smile
