A Poem

So many days I wept over you

You thought I leapt over you

But in reality

I didn’t know what to do

My heart has been kept by you

But you left like so many others

Disappeared from my life

I thought we were by each other’s side

Through the happy and the strife

Yet here I sit

Rife with emotion

Bobbing in an ocean of unreality

I love how your poem captures the ache of being left behind, while still holding on. Thanks for sharing.
