Torment a curse, we cannot escape ~
Spiraling insanity, repeat the same mistake~
Huge heart filled with light, fragile as a feather~
Complex mind, dark thoughts, shackled by chains, gagged by leather~
Manipulation is natural, a part of our nature ~
Caring and giving, please don't judge our character~
We know who we are, who we want to be~
We are not broken, we feel caged, scratching to break free~
Scared by the face we see in the mirror ~
Are we the forgiven saint that has sinned or the saint who remains a sinner?
Self destructive, impulsive, we stand in our own way ~
Fight or Flight, Predator or Prey ~
Never malicious, nor an eye for eye ~
Empathetic to a fault but skilled at the white lie ~
Negativity poisons our soal at the deepest core ~
Consumed with others pain, paralyzed, never can sore ~
Numbing the pain, so much shame and regret ~
Hidden within, anticipating the next threat ~
He and I, the dual yin and yang ~
Into the darkness he went, so into the light I sprang ~
Or, was he just unafraid to show his face?
Mine hidden behind all the style and grace ~
Interconnected and both deeply understood ~
Seemingly opposite but identical in both bad and good ~
A big brother and little sister, brought back together by prison~
Which one is the savior - which, is the villain?
Nicknamed "two that could beat a pair" ~
Will their story have a happy ending, or be a terrible nightmare?
