Yet I Still Dream

Images of a life wished to live

Holding tenaciously to the things I must give

Ambiguous visions of feelings once felt

fighting , yet held back by impediments,

Impediments that grasp me like a belt.

Perplexed by subliminal emotions,

Yet I still Dream

Whether I sleep or I wake,

I seem to be in an everlasting daze.

Outrageous sensations drive me to escape

Hope for tomorrow leads me to be great,

Yet I still Dream

Ideas of tranquility makes my heart smile

Laying my head down, I wish to be awhile

Awake in a world that is less idyllic

I gaze in a place to have my wish,

Yet I still Dream

Having aspiration is a sine-qua-non

Still I stand fighting in a battle

A battle that may never be won

Yet I still Dream

I look to the stars with infatuation

Given a world with amazing creation

Yet I still Dream
