Yesterday Today

Yesterday isn’t gone it just moved over for tomorrow

Yesterday Today

Yesterday, a whisper, soft and shy,

A shadow beneath the endless sky.

Dreams once vivid, now a haze,

Lost in the folds of wandering days.

Today holds tightly to what remains,

Gathering echoes, shedding chains.

A quiet pause, a steady flow,

Carrying forward what we know.

Yesterday slips through weary hands,

Like grains of time, or shifting sands.

But today stands firm, steady and true,

A chance to shape what’s bright and new.

Lost is yesterday, yet still it stays,

In softest thoughts, in subtle ways.

For today bears both loss and gain,

The seeds of joy, the roots of pain.

So treasure today with gentle care,

For tomorrow waits just over there.

And though yesterday may seem far away,

Its lessons live within today.

You always write poetry that makes one think and then write. Good job.
