yesterday's adieu

routinely unique sunrise

yesterday's adieu
Photo by Ramiro Pianarosa on Unsplash

Every morning when the coffee is brewed

I open the blinds to take in the view

Will there be Pink? Purple? Blue?

Many shades of orange or only a few?

Will the sky be dark with a sad hue?

Are the clouds filled with joy or deep gloom?

With every dawn is a freshly colored plume

It rises from the ground to start over anew

Like lawn softly covered in morning dew

A rosebud opening at first bloom

A unique pattern mysterious to me and you

Painted beautifully to bid Yesterday adieu
