Yes, Nature Healed
I felt much better in the bosom of nature

So you may know
about shinrin-yoku,
Japanese philosophy,
of forest bathing.
This is the well-being,
of body, mind, and soul,
in the bosom of trees.
It’s quite sad that,
we have to be told it,
we are so estranged.
Nature is the cradle,
it rocks sweetly,
singing lullabies,
giving comfort
just like a mother does.
So in one life phase,
I was burnt out
from brutal chasing
of higher study
and tackling psychopathy.
I had developed,
stress-triggered hypothyroidism
and needed healing.
I went with my mother
to her maternal place.
We spent a few days there.
explored the village-edge
deciduous woods.
I climbed palash trees,
threw pebbles in muddy ponds.
My cousin picked java plum.
I watched paddy greenery,
and let monsoon drizzles,
caress my face.
I must say—
I felt so much better,
my agony was lesser,
nature sure is a healer.
