It leads you to the status quo the authoritative matrix

The yellow brick road, a journey towards a planned outcome

So “Follow the yellow brick road” towards that picturesque beginning and end

You play the game do all that’s right

Yet still you feel lost, empty, stagnant

You yearn for something yet don’t know what that is….

The yellow once bright solar plexus connected to your inner child

Is dimmed your power of transformation feels no more

You toss and turn and stare at the ceiling

The street light causes a dim yellow glow

Through your bedroom window...

You ruminate about past loves, experiences and missed chances

You kick yourself for not being YOU

You the one who use to be a dreamer

You the one who would take a chance
