Years have gone by.
Creases have kissed the surface of the skin.
Softly.
Each small creek is a sadness.
All of the rivers speak my truth's.
I extend my hand.
Yours are deeper.
Even deeper than the Congo River.
What do you want to say?
What can I say?
We share the same blood.

And when we look at each other
in the mirror of time.
Two faces, One Look.
Our silence will be heard.
More than words we've never had the courage to speak.
And you'll tell me silently
that there's no such thing as pain that's wasted,
It only grows roots deep inside.
And it becomes light —
Light that cleans all we suffered.
