Alex the Aardvark had a friend named,

Billy the Polar Bear who knew many an animal friends, proclaimed,

Cats were fun only if they were tamed.

Dogs were best to race.

Elephants on the other hand that was not the case.

For those friendly grey mammals only wanted to walk with grace.

George the Gorilla love to just go with the flow.

He certainly wasn't going to race a dog although,

Interacting with a dog certainly could be quite the show.

Jessica the Jaguar love to pick flowers.

Kangaroo paw, knapweed, or King Protea, she collected many during day light hours.

Leo the Lion would help look even during rain showers.

Much to his delight,

No other animal who crossed his path would put up a fight.

Often, one look at this majestic presence was quite a sight.

Peter the Porcupine was the only one to give Lion hell.

Quietly, Peter the Porcupine would be on his way, but if Lion began to yell.

Razor sharp quills could come out to fight the rebel.

So, yes, Billy the bear had many a friend story to share,

The most exciting one was of another bear.

Ulysses the Kodiak Bear, he was one to beware!

Vicious and versatile, he knew how to a hunt a fish.

Wading in the waters to catch a fresh salmon for his dish.

Xanadu, a heaven for all animals, an zoologist’s wish.

Yearning for more stories to tell.

Zinnia the Zebra would like to be included, for she was swell.
