We Are The Problem
Choose your topic
Take your aim
Powers shift
Playing this game
Its a pity
Such a shame
That lifes the prize
Placing the blame
But thats ok
Rage glorified
When it’s someone else
Paying the price
We sit at home
Choosing our sides
And scream, unfair
As others die
Armchair warriors
Faces in screens
Changing as fast
As the media streams
Forgetting ourselves
And the neighbors
Around them
Choosing to stand firm
For whatever best serves them
No regard for life
Unless it gets a like
Swiping left and then right
Virtual armies beside
Who cares anymore
There’s no value to life
We’ve dug our feet deep
In the sands
Shifting with time
Nothing new under the sun
We are as lost as the last
Our souls left undone
Repeating the past
