Choosing Love Over Being Right

Yes, you are right.

I understand what you’re saying —

but is it worth the hurt

you’ll cause me?

Sometimes, fighting flames

only fuels them,

while negotiating peace

can open space for love.

How simple,

yet often chosen last

unless it’s on our terms.

Spreading love should be infectious,

along with the desire

to receive it in return.

But we fear giving too much —

because if the return

isn’t what we hoped for,

we’re left with disappointment.

Giving is a choice you control.

The return?

Never promised, never measured.

The beauty of offering yourself willingly

is the quiet fulfillment of righteousness —

needing no approval,

only the deed itself.

Jumping in front of caution

for those you love feels easy,

but defending a lost soul

from further damage

can feel unnecessary.

Yet mending the broken pieces

of a damaged world

begins with the things

we once thought were unnecessary.

If something happened to Earth,

what would happen to all of us?

We’d become family

in our shared ending —

bound forever.

Believe that good

is more common than bad.

If you do,

someone else will too.

Continue your bravery.

Hold onto faith.

And keep hope

that mankind is exactly that —

kind.
