Writing is a privilege
anger is a gift
Wield both precisely
With courage and heart
Writing is a responsibility
A calling, you can't hide from
Love is the antidote
To hate, fear and distrust
*
Writing is a joy
Being open is a freedom
Some don't even have
If you have it, use it
Don't sanitise, dilute
Create, destroy,
Question, protest
celebrate, rejoice
Embrace, subvert
Set new standards
Don't
Settle

What a beautiful stream of words with just the most wonderful message! Writing is a privilege, as is the sharing of it!
Oooo, anger is a gift. I loved that line so much! Also, lol at organised word abuse! 🍩🥐
Anger & love--Jesus cleansing the temple, parents disciplining a child, a legal system that is corrective rather than punitive--to be true & help to become true.
Brilliant! And love is an antidote - I liked that. And surely gratitude too..although they are much the same. ☺️
I agree, except I believe its more than a privilege. A honor with great expectations for anyone who seeks a journey without a road to follow!!
Lovely as always Paul
Paul, I read your words of wisdom while missing what I call my Upper Room Writing moments. There is a special connection with Life and Creation when we write from the heart. That flow of words from Spirit can feel as natural as breathing. Thank you for this poem! 🙏
The ending is so powerful! Love this so much. Great job!!
