Writing in The Dark

Money can You hear me

I have an addiction I could't see,

Until I tried to let it be.

Couldn't believe where it took me,

It shook the core of my belief.

May I have some relief,

PLEASE!!

I'm Sorry I was a thief.

It was causing so much grief,

I just wanted a piece of what they had,

I was treated bad and was always sad.

I never had a real dad.

Everyone followed your path,

Stealing my sense of worthy,

It hurt me.

Took so much of me to see,

Why My friends ditched me.

Now I am sore,

It was hard being poor.

I don't want you anymore,

Just settle the score,

I dont want to be,

Addicted to money.

I'm going through withdrawal,

Who do I call,

I gave it my all,

In the end I feel so small,

Sorry about the fall,

It was a really tall wall.

I almost made it too,

Now I'm calling out to you,

Money can you hear me?

I was told you are energy,

What are you all about?

I need to find out,

I'm shouting horrible things.

Meanwhile greedy Kings,

Stealing our dollars,

Creating chaos and wars,

And little to scholars.

Can you hear me hollaring,

I don't know if you care.

But they are using you wrong,

I SWEAR!!
