Writing Brings Peace
Self-expression and finding readers is therapeutic

As long as
I get to write what I want,
I feel lucky and rich.
Human beings want
to be seen, to be heard,
to be acknowledged,
and writing allows that.
A response from a stranger —
their shared insights,
their own experience,
kind words —
are reward enough.
Writing is the dopamine
I get, as I type
my raw thoughts,
As Maya Angelou said
untold stories
cause immense agonies.
Writing is the relief,
I seek as I navigate
the foggy path of life,
often confusing.
As I keep writing,
the nebula clears.
The cobwebs in my mind,
untangles, and clarity reigns.
I find mental well-being
in my writing daily habits.
