Writer's block sets its sights

Staring into the endless night

The blank screen facing me,

Cursor blinking ominously

Slave to the hours no longer mine

Minutes frittered away, wasted time

Like sand through an hourglass

Ideas run dry, inspiration passed

A death knell sounds, marking doom

For hopes deferred as deadlines loom

Time winding down, panic begins

Procrastination setting in

humor
