Writer's Block

Because It Always Hits When You Need It The Most

By Sammie GPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

As I lay

I try to write

But nothing comes to mind

No rhymes, no verses

No hidden messages

Simply ... empty space.

The noise in my head is fuzzy

Lines circle around each other in endless loops

While a soft buzz invades my perception.

I can't see. I can't think. I can't write.

Focus ... focus. FOCUS!

Such FRUSTRATION I feel — WOW!

Why are you so adamantly stubborn?

How dare you withhold my creativity from me?

I just need a line or two

IS THAT SO HARD TO ASK?

I demand answers, I demand words

But even my tongue will disobey me in the end.
