In the fields of Flanders, where poppies grow

The young men fought and died, so many years ago

With bravery and honor, they gave their all

Defending their countries, against the enemy's call

They left behind their families, to fight for what was right

Not knowing if they'd ever see the morning light

But still they marched ahead, with strength and grace

Into the unknown, with a smile on their faces

The bombs and guns echoed, across the land

The smoke and ashes, forever to stand

The pain and the sorrow, of war's cruel game

The memories and scars, will always remain

But we'll always remember, the sacrifice they made

For freedom and justice, they gladly paid

Their names will forever, be etched in time

The heroes of World War 2, forever in our mind.
