Wordless sounds of a Wanderer lost
A monologue of something lost

Part I: Torn Away
I’ve been wandering for some time.
Further and further still.
Remembering the scent
Of Sea Salt, ‘groves, and drinks of Cherry-Lime.
Seeking.
An escapade powered by Fate’s Will.
Looking for the Once-Was, the Once-Sweeping.
To escape my own fate,
I wandered off the path.
Thinking only of their endless hate.
If I were to stay
Would my heart be further played
As I walk out of the tide
I wonder if I’ve somehow made a mistake.
Part II: The Resting Wanderer
All these years later,
I still remember lying in the ocean
Embracing and being embraced
By the tide.
You were my only escape,
My one truest love
That surpassed all others.
Days go by,
Change tempting me with beautiful roses, tulips, and sweet perfumes.
With the natural beauty of a different sort,
It tempts me.
To forget everything you mean to me.
Oh how I wish
I could have that final dance with you
How you’d sweep me off my feet.
Drifting me away with you one last time
Rocking me to and fro
With your sweet lullaby.
‘til I embrace your blue-green light
And we become One.
I am and will forever be bound to you,
And now I am cursed
Cursed to wander endlessly
Blindly stumbling throughout these forests,
These Enchanted Mountains
Every dawn,
They turn red as blood
As if they notice my bleeding heart
Aching for you
Every dusk,
They turn purple as a bruise
As they just watch me
Stumble on
Slicing my body to shreds
Walking nakedly throughout this field of thorns
the barbed branches
having ripped my clothes to shreds.
They whisper to me
Taunting me
With words of blunt hatred and forbidden secrets
Laughter surrounds the forest
As I fall to the ground,
ignoring the thorns and shadows surrounding me
I close my eyes
Numb and tired
I fall into an endless sleep
Dreaming of the beauty of that place
Of what I’ve lost.
Trapped in eternal sleep.
I smile.
For I’m back with you.
In the embrace of the Sea.
For we are One.
You’re a part of me and I a part of you.
For what is of the Sea,
Shall always return to the Sea.
