Culms, however hard they try,

Will always be vegetative.

Do culms make you shiver?

do they?

All that is unpotted is not shrubs,

shrubs, by all account is potted.

Do shrubs make you shiver?

do they?

Shelterbelts are narrow space.

narrow space are shelterbelts.

Never forget the woolly and flocculent shelterbelts.

Evergreens are woody trees.

woody trees are evergreens.

Are you upset by how large they are?

Does it tear you apart to see the evergreens so petite?

I saw the the nearby groom of my generation destroyed,

How I mourned the spruce.

Are you upset by how close it is?

Does it tear you apart to see the spruce so near?

I cannot help but stop and look at deciduous flowers.

Down, down, down into the darkness of the flowers,

Gently they go - the broadleaf, the evergreen, the broad-leaved.
