Dancing with Distraction

Dancing in the woods; music blaring in my ears

Imagination running wild, like the wolves and the deer

Soft animals finding their way to me each time; lookouts, watchers

Trickling water following the same path as always; I hear hooves of past buffalo crashing through

Ripples from water bugs and dogs on the water; and rocks skipping over

Artists I've listened to since I was young sparking my creativity, and guiding my meditation

Chickens at the barn making noise, not realizing its me walking around

Thinking about where I've been and who I was, and where I am now and who I am now

I know my imagination has grown stronger in my distraction

Options within your imagination are open, within your distraction

Never close yourself off from the world's distractions
