A Month To Celebrate Us
This is the month
When we celebrate
American women
And all they have accomplished
Through the years
From brave Pocahontas saving an English captain
To Betsy Ross sewing the flag
To Helen Keller overcoming blindness and deafness
To Susan B. Anthony winning the right to vote
To Amelia Earhart high in the air
To Laura Ingalls Wilder remembering tough pioneer days
To Sally Ride in a rocket
To Rosa Parks on a bus
American women are awesome!
Overcoming incredible odds
Winning when the chips are stacked against us
Courage in the face of danger
We stand strong
And we will never give up
Fighting for truth, honor, and justice
Until we have made the world
A better place
For all of us
