Woman. Hardworking. Original. Affable.

Reminder to self

Whoa

Whoa, I can’t believe I almost labeled myself ugly because you couldn’t see what I see

Whoa, I almost changed the way I dressed because you didn’t like that dress on me

Whoa, I weighed myself 3 days in a row because I thought you said I was overweight

Whoa, I didn’t sleep for 3 nights rethinking the good moments, especially the first date

Whoa, I hope you know we can’t get those times back, I gotta let go

Whoa, I almost slipped and fell..didn’t even see those 30 red flags flying in a row

Whoa, I can’t count a L a lose, I consider myself real blessed

Whoa, as usual, I’ve been put to the ultimate test.

I am

Woman. Hardworking. Original. Affable.

Hello, beautiful lady. Yes they want us to believe we are not wonderful, so that they can feel their strength, not knowing that it is a weakness. Whoa, isn't your life beautiful.

  • I loved the repetition of "whoa" at the beginning of every line. Your poem was soooo powerful! You go girl! 🥰🥰🥰
