Wolf

A reflection

By JoshPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

I am a wolf
living in a forest of lush trees
I run and jump planting new ones,
to share, to keep.
A friendly rabbit strolls by and asks for a home,
I offer a tree and in he goes.
Suddenly his friends come too
and they all want homes
I can not turn them away
they'd all hate me
I am a wolf,
dying in a forest
void of any trees.
I tread from tree to tree,
searching for a home,
to no avail.
I look to my rabbit friend
he avoids my eyes
he runs away,
terrified.
I try to find someone to tell my tale,
but they're all gone
and my forest is running out of room . . . Soon they'll all hate me
Soon,
everyone will find out that I'm just a fox and I'll have nothing to say to them
now they all hate me
