Wishing you were here

I never thought that I would be living my life without you.

One moment you were here and the next you were gone.

When you were taken away so suddenly without any warning it was hard to believe.

You were here and now you're not.

No way to say goodbye.

Gone.

It's hard to live without you but I can do it.

You were always here for me.

For others too.

Can you see how we miss you?

Would you be proud of them?

You were the one that was always strong for me.

The one I went to with problems.

What would you say now?

Would you agree with the choices that I make?

Would you be proud of me the way I always was of you?

I can hear you in the music.

See you in a song.

Feel you in the breeze.

Sometimes I can imagine that you're here.

Laughing.

Smiling.

Helping.

But you're not.

You're gone.

I'm here without you.
