The Wars Between Who I Am and Who I Could Be

Within me, two fights rage,

One of hope, one of doubt.

A dream that dares to rise,

A fear that pulls it down.

One voice whispers, "You can."

Another sneers, "You'll fail."

One step forward, bold and sure,

Then hesitation’s heavy veil.

The fire inside me flickers,

But never fully dies.

Through battle scars and weary days,

Still, I chase the skies.

Some days, courage takes the lead,

Shining like the morning sun.

Other days, I fall behind,

Feeling lost, feeling undone.

The weight of past mistakes remains,

Like chains wrapped tight around my mind.

Yet deep within, a fighter wakes,

Refusing to be left behind.

Within me, two fights endure—

Yet I choose to stand and see,

That every war within my soul

Is shaping who I'll be.

And though the struggle never fades,

Through darkness, fear, and strife,

I’ll rise again, I'll find my way—

For I am meant for life.

Some days, it feels like one step forward, Two steps back—lost in the tide. But no matter what, I will conquer The person staring from inside
