Withering Lights

Mindcraft

i sat upon

a blasted beam

a fragment

of simple withered light

the essence of

a frenzied dream

and the coming

of the night

having tasted both

the sting

and the bite

of the joke

of the yoke

as it twisted

and it turned

i drifted and became

a part of the smoke

mirrorless i wandered

not leaving my seat

chip packets

and empty stubbies

lone sentinels of a reality

all,

just within reach

reminders not enforcers

arms that don't work

wanna touch things that aren't there

leaded legs languidly lounged

both in and on that damn chair

imploring impassioned impatience

addled amiable acidic acquaintance

woven worlds of wondrous conundrums

cascaded in a crystal clear cadence

every single one of my hairs

was standing on end

my goose bumps had flocked

a reflection of chemical bliss

that soft chest hammer kiss

a Cheshire cat kinda hiss

it don’t get better than this

that moment

that gets lost

that time

left behind

that hesitation

silly grin manifestation

cellular silliness

molecular mirth

grounded un hounded

bare foot upon earth

an ethereal effervescence

the breath was the night

restructured reddened agitations

glowing like a soft organic light

what planet am i on?

not bloody yours matey

but i am in a close orbit

this gravity

lost my balance

and tripped

it’s got a grip

i cannot slip

yet

its sucking me in

this gravity

a banana peel

part of the deal

there is a feel

not all is real

but

its sucking me in

this gravity

a blanket

of soothing groovy

it's got a pull

on this fool

and

it's sucking me in

so

i let go

it pulled hard

it...

sucked me in

i don't know

what else

happens in march!
