There rests another reflection.
Is it an obtuse obsession,
or an eye that sees the art in the ordinary?
Many of these books are especially introspective and introverted,
as they wear their titles privately,
which is certainly not a bad thing,
they just require a bit more patience and affirmation.
They are a different breed of soldier,
who appear at first to be less bolder.
In reality, they may hold even more grit,
as they fight, stand at attention, or sit.
They pique intrigue and tease,
hours of mystery to seize.
Then, as a horizontal brick of truth,
the soldier-maker-book rests with ever-confident-couth.

I loved this one. The rhymes used were so subtle I nearly missed them. Wonderful poem!
This piece feels like an ode to the quiet, steadfast power of books and introspection. The "horizontal brick of truth" imagery is gold ✨
There's a reflection of fire, on those books, Is that what it is? You're actually great at capturing moments.. The picture matches well with the concept of the poem. That sparkler was also beautiful 💖
Very thought- provoking, J😊Fortunately, most authors didn't, and don't, believe in sensationalistic titles...classics rest on content, not a flashy cover . 😊
