I still think about that day

I first met them at a petrol station

West of Cambridge way.

I was thirteen

But they were so sweet and I didn't have a clue

That I was going to buy way more than two

Back then, I just never knew

Deep fried delicious treats.

Which we'd chomp down with our teeth

Until they close and turn of all the lights.

For today they'd have to close that magical machine

If only this wasn't a dream

cos I was so keen!

I knew all the workers by name

I had gathered some fame

Parents drove me so I came

Just to eat

The first batch was always curly brown

I couldn't now start my mornings with a frown

The cashier always see and face and think of

how well he knows me

More points on my card

I'm reaching for the record

And buying all the collectors editions

(limited edition collector editions...)

After nine p.m. they throw you out

Then You'll see dough on every object round

I eat 'em every day

The colours in the sprinkles.

Whose taste'll never fade away

The stuffing in the filled donuts

Made by those who worked overnight before

They say to me you gotta eat me more!

So I always have to gore.

And even when my wallet says no

Or when my tummy's rumbling low.

The crisp first bite of fried dough

Is all I need

And everyday as I eat my 12th batch

I time my records of my Krispy Kreme watch

That'll be the thing to tell me to always keep on eating

Must eat those rings

I'm aiming to finish the whole box.

And then bingeing on some more.

(Most of it is just flour)

And when they're out of new flavours

They don't do you any favours.
