Side by side,

We travel far and wide.

Loyalty we have to each other,

Like others have to the queen mother.

Alas, it must be our wrinkles, perhaps?

That look as dry as time worn maps.

Nay, it must be our charcoal gray,

That shimmers when we sway.

For there is no fear,

When humans hear,

Our blaring melodies sing,

Like a trumpet playing for a king.

Our tune can be soft,

As a kitty’s purr hiding in a loft.

Or loud and thunderous,

Ohhhh, its quite wondrous.

Our massive presence,

Evokes nothing but patience.

A trance will embrace you,

Like a silky cloak of royal blue.

At first glance,

You will be tempted to do a dance.

We are the balm,

To weave you into calm.

We elephants can feed,
