Winter Solstice,

Thank you for:

Ancestors and family who’ve passed, and thanks to those to come. Look forward.

Each day we experience wondrous sights. Our moon, sun, shooting stars and meteors, planets near and far, and the constellations within our spiraling Milky Way galaxy. Look up.

Our hearts and souls are grateful for rain showers and snow, and multi-colored arcs across the sky. Paved streets and dirt roads, woody trails and waterfalls.

Vehicles - trains, buses, cars, mopeds, bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards. Feet to walk as well as wheelchairs to ride. We can all go!

Earth’s language instructors, college professors, and village elders, nannies and childcare centers, and of course, our medical personnel. See how cared for you are?

Be grateful.

Glad for wildlife that flies, crawls, slithers, and runs, climbs slowly, or leaps up the tree, sea creatures and sandy shores, rolling waves, or tsunamis that cleanse, and ice-capped mountains or erupting lava flows building the land. Watch for the miracles around you.

wild flowers and fruit, herbs and fungi, bountiful treasures and pleasures

We are thankful for abundance and this turn of the times.

Days grow longer now, and a new year slides in.

Write your dreams and hopes, etch them deeply into your brain. Look within. Speak them aloud and silence your pain.

It is coming, the new year, and you will walk in fresh shoes. You can shape them for your feet,

and

hopes,

and

dreams.

Live it true, to, and for, you.
