Once Upon a Thing

Letting go of yesterday's

Steps of mice and men

I let go of bitter hearts

And veils of mind and when

So goes the crow and comes the geese

Toward the shore

Still waters soar

Ice formed on rocks below

Sensate memories I forego

No euphemisms in a prism

Held for all to see

Of things in flight in front of me

Like vibrant glow released

Return the crow and come the geese

Let go while one alone moved

Steadily toward the mist

Sweet release

For to make designs

In sand and snow with my feet

That later met same likeness in the sky

While whispers over said within

Know I
