Winter Has Won

The frost has come

Winter has won, the frost has come

Frozen little snowflakes form across my windshield

Bringing the season of cold and chill

Entering the white covering across the land

To remember that fall is going to end

The changing tide in the realm of the sky

Jack Frost will come to visit the earth

Bring your coats, hats and gloves too

The time is coming for just a warning

Enjoy the remainder of the warmer seasons

To the beauty and awe of snow-covered mountains

First the frost must come and let all know

The messenger of the ages and yet so new

Every year this will come as a sign of another wintertime
