If I say nothing,

will you sit beside me anyway?

If my voice trembles,

will you hear the words I cannot speak?

The space between us feels endless,

but would you cross it just to find me?

I don't ask for touch,

but would you hold me with your words,

like I'm something worth saving?

I laugh too often-

can you see the sorrow beneath it?

I push too hard-

but it's only to know if you'll stay.

My silence is screaming-
