Will You Be Soft?

A Poem

Will you be soft,

Graceful and tender,

In touch and patience?

Please; be kind,

Sombre, slow, and loving.

Let me mistake you,

For a friend of lover;

Put in the effort,

To deceive me,

Fool me and trick me.

Take me as a toy,

A plaything to hold.

I will go and even yearn,

For whatever will be,

So long as...

I can not say.

Bastard, I'll call,

If you come racing,

Tired and haggard and old!

Cowardly and shambling,

Worse than a hermit,

I hope you never know,

The life lived,

Loved and missed by me;

I hope you're alone,

As I am with you!

But I have no say,

I know deep down.

You never notice us,

In your day to day.

So please come,

But don't let me know.
