Will I ever write again?
As I sit here with pen
Wondering if I am condemned
Contemplating where this might end
Hoping some thoughts will cresend
It is of no use to sit here and pretend
It would be great if there was something they could send
Even some thoughts just for a lend
Some ideas that I could bend
Maybe I can once again feel bright
Even though things are tight
Hopefully there will be some light
Not sure if I can set the world alight
Sitting in my den
Just staring at my pen
Asking if it is for this that I really have a ken
Wondering if I will ever write again
