Where the waves parted

Is where I started

To believe in God again

I counted the sands

That fell from my hands

And found in the wild a friend

When the depths of the cove

Revealed the treasure trove

I prayed at the burning bush

Kicked my sandals off my feet

Shielded my face from the heat

Overcome by a comforting hush

I surrendered my will

And drank my fill

Of the living waters on the shore

I found new life and returned

Home with a heart reburned

With passion and a purpose sure

When I arrived home

I was no longer alone

Surrounded by community

I showed all life anew

As they waded through

I felt the Spirit with me

Emily Dickerson

Hopeful and young, full of love. From my heart high praises are sung. For this reason I am here: to love and serve and bring all souls near. <3
