Wild Thing

-you broke my heart-

Wild Thing,

I needed how tightly you held onto my

Waist,

And snuggled with me,

Your beautiful black hair against my cheek

and

That Gorgeous Smile—-I fell

Like I was about to

Fall

Like Alice,

In a deep, dangerous gaping pot hole like

I was

Way too lucky to feel safe.

Wild

Thing,

I loved how you shook my

Ground,

And we fell apart together,

And how I said, “I think I love you,”

And you said,

“Too early for that.”

Wild thing,

I felt your

Canceled love

Like

A punch,

And it threw me off too soon,

With you standing on top,

Blowing me a kiss.

Wild thing,

Your hips and your neck

And your lips

And your name,

I didn’t it cry into my pillow,

No,

But I sure felt the missing

Imprint.

Wild thing,

You were

There

Like an erotic whisper,

And I knew

It was too sweet to last,

Wild thing,

You ran out on me for another,

And you broke down

My

Love

Like a life raft caught

Up in a current.

Wild thing,

You used to sing,

And we stayed in bed all day together,

Watching our love on the screen,

And I missed you for awhile,

But I realized your beautiful smile—-

Was too wild,

And I collapsed into

Serenity,

No longer dreaming of you.
