No shade towards the program. I actually had a lot of fun with the contest prompts. The trouble is, between the possibility of prize money and being broke af, they were so enticing that I pretty much stopped working on the writing I set out to publish when I originally joined!
I’ve got a bunch of stuff closer to my heart that’s been stuck in draft purgatory for too long. I’m letting my + expire so I can more easily focus on what I personally want to write. This contest was the perfect reminder for me: I actually wanted to write about absurdism and it’s a bit absurd that I ignored that for so long.
